Flagship Initiatives
One Flag in Space. This initiative seeks to promote the use of the "Blue Marble" as a symbol of international unity in space exploration. It is a symbol that anyone, anywhere in the world can relate to, regardless of nationality, ethnic origin or religious beliefs, yet does not require political collaboration between space-faring nations.

Global Catastrophic Risk Institute. A division of the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science (BMSIS), GCRI is a startup think tank leading research, education, and professional networking on global catastrophic risk. GCRI research aims to identify and assess the most effective ways of reducing the risk of global catastrophe, as well as the issues raised by global catastrophic risk. [more]
Blue Marble Space Consulting Group.
This initiative dedicates itself to sharing BMS institutional knowledge, engineering and programmatic concepts related to mission science objectives, and EPO strategies that will help newly established public and private space organizations succeed. [more]
Safety From Above. This initiative focuses on educators in creating a Teacher's Guide to Space Technology and Emergency Management, and a Space Science Lesson Plan Competition for Teachers. This initiative is done in collaboration with Teachers Without Borders.
"One-Click" Initiatives
Mosaic Earth.

This initiative, done in collaboration with Faces from Earth, recreates the image of the Blue Marble using voluntarily submitted portraits of people from around the world. It illustrates the borderless nature of our planet and of the human species.
Blue Marble Kiva Team. This initiative invites people to join the world of micro-finance through BMS's kiva team. It's an easy way to make a difference in someone's life, at no net cost to you. [more]

BMS Mentorship Program. Work is underway to create a mentorship program between scientists and university students. Stay tuned!
DearET. This initiatives educates and promotes the use of a protocol about METI (Messaging Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence). Furthermore, it will allow DearET participants to send their own encrypted messages and invite others to decode them. Stay tuned!
